Meet Our Grand Marshals

Elena Abdelmalak

Born in Egypt and raised in Monrovia since the age of three, Elena Abdelmalak is a proud product of the Monrovia Unified School District. She has been a Mayflower Mariner, a Clifton Cub, and is now graduating as a Monrovia High School Wildcat and Class of 2025 Valedictorian! An exceptional student across all disciplines, Elena has a special passion for science. Through her Sports Medicine class, she gained hands-on experience treating athletes from the football and soccer teams—an experience that inspired her to pursue a career in Pediatric Medicine. This fall, she will attend Azusa Pacific University as a Kinesiology major.

Elena is the definition of an all-around scholar and leader. She has been active in volleyball, dance, Girl Scouts, the Math & Science Academy, MASA Mentors, National Honor Society, ASB, Sports Medicine, and Link Crew. She also enjoys traveling and exploring nature. Elena is deeply grateful to her family, friends, and teachers for their unwavering support as she steps into a bright and promising future.

Cai Scheidler

Micaiah "Cai" Scheidler is a dedicated scholar, athlete, and innovator. He has been a Monroe Lion, a Clifton Cub, and a Monrovia High School Wildcat—graduating with the Class of 2025 as a valedictorian. Cai believes deeply in the power of teamwork and credits his many teammates for their shared success and inspiration.

Cai has competed with the Monrovia High School Debate Team, the Robotics Team, and the Varsity Tennis Team. His robotics team, “Kings & Queens,” earned the Inspire Award and advanced to the SoCal Championship. His computer game development team, DSA Interactive, won the Congressional App Challenge for their mobile game Doodle Dogs. A standout athlete, Cai was also named the 2024–2025 CIF Male Scholar Athlete of the Year for Monrovia High School.

In the fall, Cai will attend UC Berkeley to study Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He looks forward to "leveling up" and continuing to compete in college-level robotics. A proud Monrovian, Cai is honored to serve as Grand Marshal and to celebrate this special day with the community he loves.
